Early in the morning, Marek Kosiński is giving advice to Marcin for ambitious nature and landscape photography |
The objective of the day was to put into practice as much as possible of the advice which Marek had already given us the previous day. Depth of focus, frontlight / sidelight / backlight, aperture and shutter, use of a tripod etc. - all very well, but how is it best applied in the field?
Maria wants some vegetation in the foreground |
It turned out that, no matter which degree of ambition and professionalism one pursued, it was great fun to sit in the wet meadow and take pictures, pictures, pictures. We had a clear goal this morning: to lay the foundation for our exhibition which will need to be ready in two days.
On the bridge outside Teremiski, the last station before breakfast |
At some point our enthusiasm waned, and the wish to have breakfast at last (after more than four hours!) grew stronger and stronger. We packed our stuff, waited for the last folks to come back from their detours, and drove back to Wejmutka for a healthy meal.
Anne and Martin in search of the perfect photographic subject |
In the afternoon, we met again with Marek Kosiński in order to make a first selection of pictures. Each participant had been asked to bring his / her best ten pictures of today and before, and they were commented on and further selected by our trainer in front of the group. We were also shown basic steps in image processing with Adobe Lightroom. The pictures which the participants have taken until now are absolutely great, and we can only look forward to the exhibition which will finally be opened on Friday, 13 (!) July.
